Our Business and Development Manager, Dan Shaw, and I have just returned from a highly successful Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ) Annual Conference held on the Gold Coast.

Events like this provide valuable opportunities for CMCA and local councils to collaborate and explore ways to boost RV tourism across various regions. This year’s conference was once again well attended, with over 700 delegates present. We received strong interest in our CMCA Parks network, and in fact, several councils expressed such enthusiasm that new developments could occur sooner than expected.

We already have exciting progress underway - Dalby has received development approval, Gladstone is currently under assessment, and there’s potential for expansion in Bundaberg, along with new opportunities emerging in Giru, Mackay, and Emerald, just to name a few.

As I’ve mentioned before, conferences like these are vital to the engagement needed to grow this network across Australia. CMCA will also be attending local government conferences in Penrith (NSW LGA Conference) and Adelaide (South Australian LGA Conference) this November.
