New RV Friendly Town

First settled in 1865 along Yuleba Creek and officially proclaimed in 1872, Yuleba began as a small but strategically placed rural outpost. Today, this charming outback town blends quiet country hospitality with a proud and fascinating past. Yuleba holds a special place in Australian history as a stop on the legendary Cobb & Co coach route - marking the end of an era when the nation’s final horse-drawn mail service completed its run between Yuleba and Surat in 1924.

For RV travellers, Yuleba rolls out a warm welcome. Free short-term parking is available at Judds Lagoon, with stays of up to 72 hours – giving visitors plenty of time to explore both the town and the wider Maranoa region. Toilets are located at the lagoon, and pets are welcome on leads. A dump point is available at the Yuleba Recreation Reserve on Perry Street, and potable water can be accessed at the council office.

Judds Lagoon is more than just a handy stopover. It’s a peaceful spot for casting a line or enjoying some birdwatching, making it an ideal base for outdoor enthusiasts. History lovers can head to Cobb & Co Park on Perry Street, where the informative Cobb & Co Wall shares stories of the coach service, how it operated and the remarkable hardships endured by those who travelled Australia’s dusty inland routes. Whether you’re pausing for a night or lingering a little longer, Yuleba proves that even the smallest towns can tell big stories.
