CEO Weekly Message

Firstly, I would like to say a big congratulations and thank you to those members who attended the Club’s AGM in Bundaberg on Wednesday. It was a great effort in reaching the required numbers. During the meeting, we trialled the use of technology and zoom, which was permissible by ASIC. Some members were invited to participate via these means, and this worked successfully. Unfortunately, the livestream was not as successful, with major internet issues occurring in Bundaberg at the time of the meeting. The stream was tested the day before the meeting and worked very well, however on the day it was very slow or non-existent at times which was completely outside our control. I do apologise to those who tried to watch the meeting. Both motions put forward were successfully passed. A copy of the meeting’s Minutes, along with the delivered reports, will be available in the November edition of The Wanderer. They are also on our website now. Again, a big thank you to all those who attended.

Secondly, NSW will be out of lockdown as of Monday 11 October, however NHQ will remain closed (fully operational remotely) until Monday 18 October. When the office reopens, it will only be accessible by those who have been fully vaccinated. Those that have not been fully vaccinated and need to come to NHQ are required to call staff first before getting out of their vehicle and we will do our level best to assist. The dump point will be open and accessible to all.

Richard
